F3 is now the lightest puppy but started off the biggest. She was the first to open her eyes and was the first to come to us. Because the black pigmentation on her nose was very slow to come in (98% there now) the boys felt sorry for her and were always giving her lots of extra hugs – she is the most trusting of the bunch. I think she would make an excellent dog for a house with children or for older folks.
We called her ‘pinky’ at times because she was identified with pink nail polish – she now has a pink puppy collar to match.
F3 has a sweet baby face like her father and is a little cuddler. F3 is people orientated and sweet.
Effie's Story
Effie – sounds like F3 :-)
This pup has had quite a sales history. There has been a lady from Edmonton who was interested in her from the very beginning but could not commit because of housing.
Then Effie was actually sold to the people who bought Nina – but she got the most awful spider bite about a week before she should have been shipped.
Then the same lady in Edmonton wanted me to know she was still interested but still having moving difficulties.
Then a young couple from Edmonton wanted a Westie and were thinking of Effie – but when they met her she was so shy and scared and they ended up taking Piper the most feisty one out the litter.
Then a couple from my own town wanted a cute and cuddly Westie to be a companion to their other Westie pup Logan. Logan just did not get along with Effie.
Then a very nice lady phoned on the long weekend in August wondering if Effie was still for sale and I realized then that we had just kept her too long and had bonded with her. She won’t be part of my breeding program, but will have the important job of being a model for my Westie photos.
It may sound a little crazy having five Westies in the house – but who cares – they are just little things. Some people who visit think they all look the same (they don’t) and they all act the same (they don’t) each one of them has a different personality and they each have their own sets of good and bad habits and funny little antics.
