Memories
of my first dog
a Westie named Tim
Getting Tim for my 9th birthday
With a cousin in Scotland
Minature railroad in Wales
How 70s I look!
One of many holidays to Scotland
Why did Tim get to sit on the blanket?
A hippy and her dog at the beach
My Dad had some cool looking cars - they were large by British standards - he needed room to accommodate his artificial leg. I don't remember the names of the makes of the cars but I always liked the color of the white one - it was called "snowberry white". Tim went everywhere with us except for a holiday in Canada. British public parklands were very accomodating towards dogs.
Waiting for Father Christmas
Mum made sure he always had
a few Christmas surprises.
Yes, we had snow in Wales - not much and not often though.
Tim loved the beach but not going in the water - the sand was good at keeping his nails down. He loved to dig BIG holes at the beach.
Happy New Year!
Mum, Me, Tim & Aunt Mary
My parents loved Tim too. Dad had a nack for training dogs and budgies.
He said that Tim was almost human.
My friends loved Tim too. Sandra is on the left showing the hills just outside our town of Buckley in Wales. We were climbing up Mole Famu in this photo. My friend Jane loved Tim so much that she has since owned two Westies herself.
The "cousins" I am holding my Aunt Chris's Cairn Terrier, Cindy - she was a sweetie. Tim stayed with my aunt Mary and her Scottish Terrier Hamish when we all took a trip to Canada. We also used to have lots of holidays together at the beach. Hamish loved the ocean - Tim did not. My aunt had a bay window and both dogs would sit there like ornaments watching people go by in her busy street, in a small town just outside Birmingham in the Midlands looking like an ad for Black & White Whiskey.

I am very fond of all the Scottish Terriers
but I love the Westies most.
We took in an abandoned Cocker-poo who I called Dougal - Tim and him were fine friends. Here they are dressed up to celebrate my marriage. Dougal disappeared from the farm we were living on after I got married :-(
We moved to Canada in 1982 - Tim would be about 10 in this photo. He loved the mud in Alberta!
My in-laws dog Ralph, my husband's lab pup, Bob and my Tim
Tim shortly before his passing. He was riddled with cancer - I had him put to sleep at 14. Twenty years later I still remember him with a smile and miss his funny little ways.

Thank you for visiting this page
in honour of Tim
...and Dougal, and Cindy and Hamish and Ralph and Bob
Wonderful dogs all!
